– Over 20 years of rallying has given me a lot and I've always dreamed of ending my career on its' top. Now I have excellent chance to make it happen and I'm going to use it. There are no dramatics involved as I want to give possibilities for younger driver to reach their dreams - like I have done, told Grönholm from the island of Corsica as he's testing for forthcoming events.

Of course its sad, very very sad, but like Marcus said "its the right time" and i understand and respect his decision!!! But to read it.... I can´t imagine Rallye without him. For me it´s a bit like somebody died today. Only sad I hope Marcus and Timo will find a new way of life now. All the luck for you both for the rest of the season and.... can´t think about after the season... to painful

Feel like crying
Got the news about it when Steffi text me ( I'm travelling around in NZ south island at moment.. ) I was screaming out in the car and my friend though someone has died , but as Steffi says... yes I feel like someone has died.. some part of me has died with it too..
Same for me, I can't imaging Rally without him. I got into WRC because of Marcus and Timo, their passion, their style.. their top of the class ( and world ) performance.
I'm glad I sort of got the chance to " say goodbye" at rally NZ this year..

Thank you, Thank you so much Marcus and Timo for bringing us all these wonderful years of rallying..

I'm so sad ! Marcus & Timo are completly different other drivers..

they made so much for the wrc and us fan.
We will miss terribly him ! I learned the news this morning with the radio, I were completely sad because I still kept a small hope to see them the next year.
They don't see them next year now, it is a large shock today...

I wanted to thank Marcus & Timo what they did for us for the forum and for me during the tests. never I will forget this single moment of my life...
Steffie I thought much of you this morning, all these PM and here is this time one is fixed.
Now I hope they will win their 3rd title to reward them for all their career... THANK YOU MARCUS & TIMO!

PS : i'll go to spain to see them a last time, and maybe say goodbye if i see them..

Very sad, but still... it's the best moment for Marcus to do this, no one knows if he would be so competetive against Seb (or if anybody would be) next year.

After 8 years in WRC I must say he was the most competetive driver of all... He had two very bad seasons ('03 & '04), but he still managed to change everything around in 2006 which was, I must say - spectacular...

The fastest, the most funny, the most competetive, and the most spectacular driver ends his career in his best season ever... that's really respectable...

Thanks Marcus & Timo for 8 years of great fun watching you on stages!

Good luck for your final 5 rallies!

Like Subaru with the WR1, RB320 etc. what you guys reckon???
